Brett Gips

Coach Brett Gips is from Yorktown, Texas where he was a four year letter-winner in multiple sports, earning All-State honors in baseball. He started his baseball coaching career after being a two year letter-winner at perennial NJCAA powerhouse Cisco Junior College and a two year letter-winner at NCAA Division I member of the Southland Conference, Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. Upon the completion of his playing career Brett spent two seasons as the pitching coach for the Cooperstown Hawkeyes in the home of baseball, Cooperstown, New York. He returned to Texas A&M - Corpus Christi to begin a seven year stint as an assistant coach, eventually being promoted to recruiting coordinator in 2014. Coach Gips has had two nationally ranked NCAA D1 recruiting classes and has recruited or coached twenty (20) players that have signed a contract with a Major League Baseball team. Coach Gips was named Head Baseball Coach at Port Aransas High School in May 2023, accumulating a 37-19 record over his first two seasons including the schools first District Championship in over a decade (2025).

Brett and his wife Amber, have two children Brielle (8) and Brooks (5).
